Metagenomic Next-generation Sequencing (mNGS)

for Pathogenic Microorgnaism Detection

mNGS technology relies on the rapid development of high-throughput sequencing (NGS) technology, which is based on microbiology and bioinformatics as a means of technological implementation, with the goal of solving clinical medical problems.

Features:

The research object is the microbial community in the sample, which does not require predetermination or cultivation. The total nucleic acid of the sample is sequenced directly to comprehensively detect all pathogens contained in the sample.

Targeted Next-generation Sequencing (tNGS)

for Pathogenic Microorgnaism Detection

Based on the next-generation sequencing (NGS) and multiple targeted amplification technology, tNGS can perform targeted enrichment and high-throughput sequencing of target pathogens, and output pathogen detection results after bioinformatic analysis.

Features:

Compared to mNGS, tNGS is less costly with a well-defined detection range, and can be used for screening for common infections or for the detection of specific pathogenic microorganisms.
