Pathogen Identification via Sequencing and Amplification
for Fungal Infection (PISA-F)
Based on high-multiplex targeted amplification and NGS technology, PISA-F can detect 64 fungal pathogens, including 12 yeast-like fungi, 41 filamentous fungi, 10 dimorphic fungi, and 1 eumycetoma pathogen. It can also detect 14 essential drug-resistance genes (42 sites). It can Indications include patients with candidemia, aspergillosis, pneumocystis jirovecii pneumonia (PJ), and cryptococcal meningitis, etc. Sample types can be bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF), blood, sputum, hydrothorax, ascites, cerebrospinal fluid(CSF), tissue, etc.
1. Detection Scope
2. Clinical Application Scenarios
① A fungal infection is suspected clinically.
② PISA-F can be used as a second-line test in PISA when there is a high clinical suspicion of fungal infection but all assays are negative.
